In construction, 3D concrete printing replaces single-use formwork with a robot that places concrete exactly where it is needed. This cuts material waste, shortens timelines, and unlocks shapes that would be too expensive to mould. Elements can be printed on site or prefabricated off site under controlled conditions, then transported and assembled.
The clearest proof that the technology works for construction is a building people can live in. Our Viliaprint project in Reims delivered the first certified 3D printed houses in France, a milestone that moves printed concrete from research into regulated construction. Our YRYS concept house pushes the architectural possibilities further.
