Detailed Overview

3D Printing Head

The xHEAD is the core of your 3D printing system. From single-component to multi-admixture configurations, each level unlocks new capabilities in material control and print quality.

Dimension 1 - Control Your Setting Time

How many admixtures are injected at the nozzle? This determines your level of material control.

1K Mono

Ready to print!

No admixture at the nozzle. The material is ready to print without modification. The paste is at the limit of pumpability - it must hold its shape immediately.

Advantages
Simple technology. Entry-level equipment cost.
Constraints
Risk of material setting, blockage and breakage. One material per application.

2K Multi

Set on deposition!

1 admixture (setting accelerator). The paste is liquid and self-placing - easy to pump with no risk of setting in the pipes. The accelerator freezes the shape instantly at the nozzle.

Advantages
Flexibility. Serenity. One material for all shapes.
Considerations
Requires investment in an extrusion head.

Dimension 2 - Upgrade Advanced Capabilities

Two upgrade paths to take your production to the next level.

Adapt at Deposition

2 admixtures at the nozzle (accelerator + functional admixture)

The first admixture controls setting. The second adds a functional capability. Same head, different calibration.

⚠ Requires Sync level - ABB recommended

Color

Real-time color transitions

The second admixture colors the material on demand. Automated digital color precision. Full aesthetic freedom.

Control

Rheology adjusted at the nozzle

The second admixture modifies rheology at the nozzle. Maximum control over consistency and performance.

Automatic & Dynamic Flow Control

Head-mounted dosing pump - full flow control

By placing flow control directly at the print head, full control on material flow is enabled.

⚠ Requires Sync level - ABB recommended

Start & Stop

"Hollow your structure"

On/off flow control at the nozzle. Hollow structures with simple toolpaths.

Dynamic Flow

"Quality at high productivity"

Variable flow rate synchronized with robot speed. Print fast without quality loss.
