About the project

These prototypes are the result of the PhD work of Romain Duballet, a member of our R&D team, in the Navier laboratory (Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, CNRS, Ifsttar). It involves the progressive assembly of polyhedral insulating blocks, held together by a printed mortar. The blocks are used as a support for the printing, and the mortar takes over. The result is a structural and insulating wall, compatible with masonry processes. This research project is now being further developed.
