3D-Printed Concrete Reception Desk

About the project

For the new media library in Saleilles, France, 3D Concrete crafted a bespoke reception desk that perfectly blends ergonomic workplace design with a fluid, contemporary aesthetic. Utilizing XtreeE’s advanced 3D printing technology, the team extruded concrete into complex, organic curves with robotic precision, entirely eliminating the need for wasteful traditional molds (formwork).

Incorporating color directly into the concrete mix elevates the piece, providing a deep, permanent hue that will not chip or fade under heavy public use. This technique preserves the signature layered texture of XtreeE technology while ensuring the robust furniture seamlessly harmonizes with the building's overall interior palette.
